Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are required to evaluate each manuscript to determine if it meets the scholarly merits for publishing. A critical assessment must be conducted within a certain time while focusing on the content originality and its valuable contributions to the field. Reviewers must validate their judgements with well-founded arguments.

Reviewers will follow the approved criteria for assessment purpose. The assessment is conducted to find out the relevance of the research topic and methods used, the scientific significance of the findings presented, and the overall presentation and alignment with the journal’s focus.

It is imperative for the reviewers not to be in conflict of interest with the authors or funding sources of the research. Should a conflict arise, the reviewer must promptly inform the Editor-in-Chief. Also, reviewers should only accept manuscripts for review if they fall within their area of expertise.

In case of any reasonable suspicions or knowledge of potential ethical breaches by the authors, it is mandatory for reviewers to notify the Editor-in-Chief.

Reviewers are tasked to identify relevant papers and findings that have not been referenced in the manuscript and may suggest specific citations where necessary. However, they should not require the citation of papers published in this journal or their own work unless justified.

This review process is required to improve the manuscript’s quality. If reviewers consider revisions are required, they must provide authors with clear guidance on how these improvements can be made.

All manuscripts under review are to be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must refrain from using unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts unless a written permission is granted by the author.
